Education and Training 

• Umpires that achieve their highest possible level
• Umpires who understand and apply the official rules of the game professionally and competently

Assessment and Accreditation

• Increase the number of accredited umpires each year
• Create a pathway for umpires that is fair and transparent

High Performance 

• To have umpires who are rated amonst the best in Canada
• To have elite umpires who are role models and that umpiring is seen as an alternative to participating in the sport
• To have umpires officiating at a high standard on all netball matches

There are three levels of certification.

Level 1 has a theory component: National Canadian Coaches Program (NCCP). Netball Canada requires a set number of hours for technical (learning the techniques of Netball) and pratical work (putting the techiniques into practice with your team.)

Level 2 has a theory component: National Canadian Coaches Program (NCCP). Netball Canada requires a set number of hours for advanced technical and practical work.

Level 3 is currently being further developed and will assist those who are keen to become coaches at an international level.
